MINNEAPOLIS, MN (November 20, 2006) – The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that the firm’s Saint Cloud office was honored by Central Minnesota’s Habitat for Humanity with the “2006 Business Volunteer of the Year Award” at a recognition program held on November 9, 2006.

Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Judy Carmack said, “Gray Plant Mooty attorney, Bob Walter has provided exceptional legal counsel to Habitat for Humanity for more than eight years on a pro bono basis.  He has provided outstanding guidance through the mortgage process and assisted the Habitat affiliate as its facilities have grown.  In addition, Bob set up the "Neighborhood Association” and has invested many hours with homeowners and the Habitat staff.  Bob is a generous man and has a true heart for Habitat for Humanity.”

This award recognized Gray Plant Mooty’s commitment and support of Habitat for Humanity in providing pro bono legal representation, volunteering for Women’s Build, participating on the Board and through committee membership, and financial support.  In 2006, GPM contributed at the "Roof Raiser" sponsorship level of $2,000.  In addition, the firm partnered with the organization to complete the first triple family home in Saint Cloud on 33 Circle South.
