Richard is a principal with Gray Plant Mooty and has practiced in the areas of antitrust law and complex business litigation since 1978. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust and complex litigation, and devotes a significant percentage of time to counseling business clients on antitrust and trade regulation issues. He is a member of the firm’s Antitrust team and past chair of the Antitrust section of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Since 1998, Richard has also been serving as executive director of The Sedona Conference, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. In addition, Richard was the founder and operator of a nationally-renowned Twin Cities' jazz club, featuring national and international talent, and he remains active in the local jazz scene.
